Chris and I went to the International Proteolysis Society Meeting in Brazil where we both presented work from the lab. Chris won one of the best poster awards! Congrats Chris!!

Pat was the first graduate student to join our lab. The lab had a chance to attend his wedding on October 18th. It was amazing to see him and Jackie join together as husband and wife. Also included here are just some moments of Pat being awesome, from celebrating his birthday with the newest graduate student, Robbie, to halloween and getting his first paper framed.

Ikram presented his research for the summer before returning to Yale to start his senior year. We wish him the best of luck.

I hosted the lab for our Holiday Party this year. The food was amazing but the company was even better!

The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics annual retreat in the Poconos at Skytop Lodge was fun!

I nominated Bohdana for the Best Lab Manager of the year award for 2024, and she’s a top 5 finalist!

We welcomed a new rotation student Tristan Wong, and undergrad Ariana Arabadjiev to our lab.

Dr. Taabazuing is featured in the Australaisian Cell Death Society (ACDS) Newsletter.

The lab was awarded an NIH NIGMS R35 MIRA Grant.

Dr. Taabazuing is awarded the Black in Cancer Young Investigator Award.

We hosted Dr. Freeman Hrabowski III to deliver an inspiring message about cultivating inclusive excellence.

We welcome Teni (picture below left) Matilda (middle), and Robbie (right) to the team for the summer!
